Start with Morning Glass.

The beta is a browser-first look at Aikotoba through Morning Glass. No account or installation is required.

Quick start

  1. Open the Morning Glass web demo in a current Safari, Chrome, Edge, or Firefox browser.
  2. On a phone, rotate to landscape when the player asks. Pinch zoom and scrolling remain available.
  3. The demo starts in your device language. Change it, the text size, and audio levels in Settings, where a master control sits above the separately mutable music, voice, and sound channels.
  4. The story saves itself as you play, under its own Auto tab. Save and Load remain available for your own slots. Web saves belong only to that browser and device.
  5. If something breaks, open About and export a redacted diagnostic file before contacting support.

What the beta demonstrates

  • Deterministic branching, rollback-aware saves, and route progression.
  • English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese presentation, chosen from your device language on the first visit.
  • Full Japanese character voice, original music and sound effects.
  • Automatic saving at choices and scene boundaries, alongside manual and quick saves, each showing a picture of the moment and the time played.
  • Read-only Skip stops at unread text; Auto waits for each line and voice before advancing. Both keep their preferences between visits.
  • A master volume with mute above the individual music, voice, and sound-effect controls.
  • Responsive title, dialogue, choices, Extras, settings, and save/load surfaces.
  • A packed project boundary shared by the web and desktop readers.

Save expectations

Browser saves, settings, and progression are stored locally. They do not sync to Aikotoba or another device. Clearing site data—or mobile-browser eviction under storage pressure—can remove them. This beta does not promise cloud backup or permanent browser retention.

Privacy and diagnostics

The game runtime has no telemetry and does not transmit choices, saves, settings, progression, or project content. The public websites use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate page and performance statistics, as described in the privacy notice.

Diagnostic export is always user-invoked. The player creates a redacted local file; it does not send the file automatically.
