- Browser update reliability is improved so a failed rollout cannot leave a later version loading stale assets.
- The story now saves itself at choices and scene boundaries, under its own Auto tab beside your manual and quick saves.
- Saves show a picture of the moment they were taken and how long you have played.
- Settings gained a master volume with mute, a reading text size, and skip preferences that persist between visits.
- Read-only Skip stops at unread text; Auto waits for each line and voice before advancing.
- From the title screen, Settings and Save/Load use full pages on larger screens; in-game entry uses focused overlays.
- The demo starts in your device language rather than defaulting to English.
Web-demo-first release
The browser demo is published before any Windows or authoring package. This page intentionally provides no desktop artifact link. Those files require a separate frozen-candidate review, exact integrity metadata, and platform instructions before they may appear publicly.
Compatibility
Browser data belongs to the aikotoba.app origin. Moving the
demo to another origin is a data-migration decision, not a cosmetic URL
change. Each materially different distributed build receives a newer,
immutable version.
